Luck was on the side of Lindsay and Frank as their wedding day started off with a downpour that never happens in San Diego! When I dropped her bouquets off at the hotel, it was pouring like crazy and Lindsay was so nervous!! But as soon as I arrived at the venue (one of my second homes, Brick in Liberty Station) the sun was shining and the clouds cleared! It was beautiful!!
We used tons of romantic soft blooms in Lindsay’s bouquet, with a hint of dark burgundy, and plenty of sweet peas.. not only because they are in season and I’m obsessed with them when they’re in season, but also as it turns out Lindsay had a sweet pea tattoo! So it was the perfect flower with special meaning to her. We also used a strip of lace from her mother’s wedding gown to wrap the bouquet.
Inside at the venue, we splurged on a big installation that served as the backdrop for the ceremony and the sweetheart table at reception! There were a good amount of tables so we had three different table styles to keep it interesting and costs reasonable: small flower centerpieces, simple candles + greens, and bud vases with runners for the farm tables. I always encourage a few different styles in my proposals, and Gantes.co took a few photos of the open room that shows you just how great a variety is 🙂
